Anjo

Anjo is now SOLD! Congratulations to Marcy of Alabama!

Anjo is a gorgeous 9 year old Full Papered Star mare, who is in foal to Dries 421 Sport, due March 5, 2009.  Anjo is a susperstar in dressage, she has her SPORT predicate, which means she has points in 3rd level dressage and can do flying changes, shoulder in, haunches in, collected canter, extended trot.  How many mares have you seen for sale that have their Sport predicate?  She is a rare find!  Most of the time you only hear about approved stallions who have their Sport Predicate and it is a BIG DEAL when one of them gets it.

The Sport title can be awarded to mares, geldings and stallions that have achieved at a sufficiently high level in competitive sports. The Sport title can be awarded only on the basis of results achieved during competitions registered by the Royal Dutch Equestrian Association (KFPS). The scores registered with the KNHS wil determine eligibility for the sport title. The minimum requirements for being awarded the Sport title are:

a. dressage: Z1+ 5 (this means they need 5 winning points in third level dressage)
b. show driving: cat. I & II honorary class and cat. III open class in a single season, having placed as prize winner in the green season (15 April tot 1 October);
c. driving (dressage in harness): Z+10;
d. combined driving: class 3 + 10. For either the KFPS or the KNHS, it is necessary to indicate iin advance with which Friesian horse(s) one wants to enter. The horse needs to have acquired at least 10 winning points in class 3 from the time at which an application for the horse has been made tot het KFPS and the KNHS.

Anjo earned her Sport Predicate by method a. (Z1+5 points in dressage).  All the while when she was earning those points, she was also a full time mother! : )

Anjo has had 5 foals, one of which we imported for a customer in Seattle Washington in 2003.   She is a very easy breeder.

In 2004, Anjo took the IBOP test and got 82.4 points!  This is VERY high, high enough to make Model.

Anjo has so much experience in her life- she knows how to drive, she has been trail ridden extensively.  She'd be approprate for a beginner to ride, and she's 3rd level dressage with her Sport predicate.  She has been to many dressage shows in her carreer, despite being a mom every year as well!  In Holland, they wold take her foal with her to the competitions and she still performs and earns points despite the normal stress of leaving her foal behind.

About Dries 421: Jasper x Hearke. An very beautifully shaped stallion with a terrific front and much stallion expression. He makes himself bigger in movement and literally danced through his performance testing. A show horse at its best! Quotes of the performance testing: A horse with a beautiful, riding typical presence. The walk is more than sufficient and rhythmic. The trot is sufficient to good and shows beautiful suspension. The stallion shows a nice extended trot. The good canter is roomy and nicely round.
