Hearke B.

UPDATE: July 15, 2006
Sue, I just wanted to write you a note to tell you how well Hearke is doing and how happy I am I bought from Legacy Friesians.  I am thankful every day he has come into my life - he helps keep me sane.  :)

I can't thank you enough for being so patient and demonstrating such a high level of integrity.  You never pushed me into a decision, always gave me honest answers (sometimes so much so, it made me laugh), and you are wonderful at maintaining long-term relationships with your customers.

It's obvious you really care about the horses and the owners.  Plus, you have become more than just someone I bought a horse from.  Going to the stallion show with you guys this year was a BLAST and an amazing experience!  For those people looking at your website, there is an article posted telling all about the show.  If you love Friesians, you will be amazed by the experience!

I was also going to tell you my trainer, Tigger Wright, who has done an absolutely INCREDIBLE job with Hearke, thinks he is doing so well, we might show him training level in August!  I'm very excited about this.  It is fund to see him picking things up, and he seems very happy right now.  We have this fun game where I scratch his neck, and he places his mouth on my shoulder to groom me back....it's very cute!

Here's some recent photos taken on a glorious summer day.  His mane has grown about a foot since I bought him last year - those wonderful Oege genes!

As always, I would not hesitate to recommend Legacy Friesians or be a referral for those people considering buying from you.  Hope all is well.

Hearke B has arrived in San Francisco, California and his new owner, Wendy Feller!
Wendy's testimonial is below:

"(4/2) Hearke arrived safely last night.  We went out first thing this morning and spent ALL day with him... He was a DREAM!  He is SO incredibly GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Personally, I think he is one of the most beautiful Friesians I have ever seen (I realize all new owners say that about their horses)...but it's true in his case!  Anyway, I had to pinch myself most of the day to know it was real.  He was anxious at 1st but quickly settled into his new home.  Then he became a big puppy dog.  Loved attention (and carrots!)...  :-)

Being a first-time owner, I was quite anxious about buying sight-unseen and resisted for at least 6 months, even spending a considerable time looking at Friesians in the area.  However, somehow the stars were aligned when I saw Hearke, and you had SO much to do with me feeling comfortable with this purchase!   You did more than any other breeder/seller to answer my many questions, tell me exactly how the process would work, and reassure me at each step of the way to let me know things were on track (e.g., from taking mounds of video footage specifically for me, having me speak to other customers who saw Hearke in Holland, arranging full vet and Xray exams, arranging training, changing the ship date to meet my schedule, promptly handling transfer of his papers, etc.).  You responded to my requests instantaneously, fairly and honestly!    You obviously find top-qualitiy Friesians with incredible looks and pedigree.

For people reading your web-site, all I can say, is I was very skeptical about the process of buying a horse directly from Holland and that I am a pretty high-maintenance buyer who requires a LOT of reassurance and proof.  Legacy Friesians really came through!"
