responsive horse I have ever ridden. It is an absolute thrill to
ride him!"
UPDATE JUNE 16, 2008: "Hilbrant is doing wonderfully.
He is very happy and healthy, though he's putting on a tad of weight...
If he or I could ask for anything more it would be riding time. I've
been riding him in the arena and taken him out in the neighborhood a couple
of times. He is the biggest sweetheart I've ever known." "He is the biggest LOVE of a
horse I've ever had, and sooo easy to do anything with, both because he's
so smart and so willing. I love him with all my heart and he is priceless.

Hilbrant came to Sylvia Lindström's
stable when he was 3 years old. Sylvia has carefully educated and trained
him in the Swedish way of training dressage-horses: mostly outside, in
all weather. That makes Hilbrant that cool and relaxed as he is today.
Hilbrant learns quickly and it is a pleasure working with him. He is that
really personal kind of horse that whinnies when you call his name and
bonds really much with his owner. A horse like Hilbrant you get once in
a lifetime!!
He knows his lateral work and is
easy on the leg. He canters from the walk, does simple changes and counter
canter. He is learning the spanish walk and having a lot of fun with that.
Sylvia has been riding him often
outside, he likes cantering at the beach or through the forest. As you
see on the photos--he is very fun to ride!! Uncomplicated, cool,
and easy in all situations.
Hilbrant is all in one: a really
talented dressage horse, a stunning show-horse, a friend and partner outsides
on the trail rides and even a lovely driving horse (has been driving in
Holland as 3 years old). He is safe in the traffic and forgiving if the
rider makes a mistake.
As Hilbrant´s farrier, Bengt
Gustafsson, says: "There is only one Friesian horse like Hilbrant. He is
so stunning! He is simply the best!"
