From Leeuwarden 2005
Tthe 2005 central stallion show

Every year in Holland in January, Legacy Friesians owner, Sue Zoltner goes to the Stallion keuring in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, where new stallions are presented for approval.  The show lasts 2 days.  On the first day the young stallions are presented, to be judged on conformation and movement.  After the young stallions have their turn, the approved stallions are brought out wave by wave.  At the end of the show, the judges bring out the best approved stallions to compete in the special World Championship class for the Friesian with the best trot.  The 2005 World Champion was Mintse 384, who stunned the crowd with his huge extension.

The 2005 show was special in that Adel 357 put on an amazing dressage demonstration, and was part of a Carousel show.  It was so impressive to watch!!!
Check out the short video clip I made of the AWESOME Adel 357. Adel 357's sire is Ludse 305, the same as our broodmares Arabella H. and Wideke H.  We at Legacy Friesians breed for dressage talent, and Ludse 305 delivers just that, which is why he was brought back to the Netherlands in 2002 (due to the outstanding success of his offspring in dressage)!  Even though Adel 357 is one of the only Friesian stallions competing at the Prix St Georges level in dressage, he was shockingly disapproved on offspring... I heard it was due to the fact that his offspring take longer to mature- 4 or 5 years instead of 3 years.
