Editor's note:
Christine, the owner of Blue Diamond Stables CEM Quarantine in Ohio has
been watching us import TOP quality horses for our customers for quite
a while! Christine and Kevin transported/boarded the following SOLD
Legacy Friesians: Jildau, Welmoed, Gerlanda, Majoor, Haye, Eelke, Trienke,
Tessa, Isabel, Hanna, Sanneke, Trinity. Christine came to have a very high
opinion about the quality of our horses and our trouble-free import process!
So when she saw Pietsje for sale on our site, she had a feeling that this
mare was going to be perfect for THEM! She ended up purchasing Pietsje
sight unseen from us, and she is absolutely thrilled. Pietsje just
had her healthy colt a few days ago and Christine and Kevin could not be
happier with both of them!!! More photos and text to come!
Hello Sue,
Sorry I haven't the time till now to say thank you for helping bring Pietsja
into my life. I was and am still quite surprised. I just cant
tell you how excited to have my very own Friesian and Pietsja couldn't
be more perfect. As you well know I have had "trouble" hauling and
caring for the Friesians you bring over. The trouble is....I fall in love with every
one of them!!! I still remember each of them fondly. The breed itself has
captured my excitement about horses in general. Never have
I been so enthralled about learning of a breeds place in history as well
as in today's lifestyle.
I know it was hard for you and Christine to keep this a secret. It
was the best surprise ever and only Christine knows just what I love most
to surprise me with. She is the only person who really listens to
what my heart is saying when I talk about wishing for a horse of my own.
Bummy,...now lovingly known as Bummaliscious to Brielle, has now become
hers since she has found the love for him as I did with Pietsja.
I also am thinking of learning to ride English, although my grandfather
will roll over in his grave (we come from a western Quarter Horse family).
I figure if Pietsja will have to learn to understand English and be patient
with me, then I will learn to ride English and be patient with her. She
will have to endure wearing an antique western Parade saddle for a picture
or two. It was hand made by my grandfather and includes the chest
collar, hip drops, tail drops, and crown, all in black and sterling
silver. I'll send pictures.
I cant thank you enough. I still giggle to myself every time I see
her. I love walking in and just wrapping my arms around her neck.
Just the thought of her brings a tear of joy. She is absolutely perfect.
I can now say as well, " I love my Legacy Friesian."
Feb 27, 2008 update
Hello Everyone!
Just had to share some pictures of our first family riding day! Kevin is a
VERY happy man with his girl Pietsje who he just got back home yesterday. A
huge thank you to Bruce and Staci Griffin for the fabulous job they have
done with her. She looks super. Kevin did great with her today!
It's amazing how good a Friesian looks in a western saddle...lol. It
inspired Brielle and I to get on Luke and Bummy.
Looking forward to many more.
Have a great night.

WB. is a 3rd premie studbook mare, in foal to Aan for 2007. She is due
at the end of July so she has to ship right away to America, so if you
are interested in her you have to tell me by June 22nd or so!
We already did the CEM test so she will be ready to ship immediately.
She is 10 years old and very easy to ride and totally experienced for pulling
a carriage.
Thomas
327 is a really highly regarded stallion who died last year. He had
really long hair. The stallion she is in foal to, Aan 416, is a young
approved stallion. He doesn't ship semen to the USA so her foal will
be very rare...a hot commodity!
Aan
416 comes out of stam line 44 en than special from the line of breeder
R.J. Veltman. He was bred from the mare Jeltje. Jeltje also bred
2 model-daughters, and daughters from her also bred model-mares. Further,
many of her mare offspring became Ster mares.
Aan
416 comes out of a mare-line that likes hard work, and his father Abe is
also a hard worker.
Aan
received this work ethic from both sides. In his report the judges wrote
that he is a honest stallion who always puts forth a good effort, who has
lots of interest for his environment, but drives and rides very well.
In
his stable he is a honest and good-natured stallion.
He
has more than enough charisma, has enough talent to be a great show horse.
