Tetje is now sold!
Congratulations to Mary of Seattle, WA!
Hi Sue,
Thank you for checking in on
us. Tetje is settling in very nicely. She was very nervous
the first day. She called and called to all the nearby horses to
say hello, or she may of been waiting to hear Iris or Arabella calling
back. I felt so badly for her. She did get one gentlemen "gelding"
to jump out of his pasture from across the road THREE times to come and
say hi to her. He was finally contained to the back of the owners
property. Our neighbors in back had 5 horses that raced over to the
fence to see the new lady, it was so funny, but they all had nice greetings
for her.
I think Tetje was most curious
about the small herd of cows across the field, she watches them daily,
it's as though she's never seen a cow or she thinks their funny looking
fat American horses. It is funny to watch her watch them so intently.
What a wonderful experience this
has been for both Neil and I. Thank you so much. We absolutely
love Tetje, she is such a funny and gentle girl. (she also knows
how to take lids off of grain/garbage cans).
I'll keep in touch and
send some photos to let you know our progress.
Thanks again,
Mary P
Update October 9, 2007 Tetje is doing wonderful, I
wish I could ride her but still need to get a saddle. Everyone who
comes over just loves her, they take lots of pictures of her. She
always checks pockets for snacks. She is such a sweetie.
you may get a few referrals from me, two folks absolutely fell in love
with her. I told them if they are interested in a Friesian, that
you were the lady to go see for sure. I looked on lne for saddles
but could only find the Web site for the one saddle which is made in Germany?
So maybe I will wait until you get the Redline saddles in. I'll send photos to you soon. Mary
Update May 16, 2008 Hi Sue, Just a quick update on Tetje.
She foaled last night around 9:45, it was a filly and she's soooo adorable. I love the little jeri-curls
and she's very black with no white marks. She's very friendly and
walks right up to you when you enter the stall.
We are still working on her name and we will let you know what we decide, and will send more pics soon!
Tetje did great, it went really fast. Both mom and baby are doing
good. Congrats to you and all of your
new babies as well!!!! Mary Piovesan
Tetje and her new filly !
Just born!
Below are photos of Mary and
her Daughter taking riding lessons on Tetje at our place
Tetje is a beautiful, 9 year old
(just turned 9 in April) 3rd premie studbook mare who has had a very broad
range of experiences in her life. She has been driven extensively- single
and in pairs. Her trainer in Holland said she is not afraid of anything-
this girl is the most bombproof horse we have at this time!
She is a master of the trails too. She was owned by a family in Holland
who did everything with her. They had an 11 year old girl who did
a lot of outdoor / trail riding. She is sweet and loves attention
and is a good mother! She has had 2 foals- both fillies. One
in 2002 and one in 2004. She has a coveted full paper pedigree, and
only 1.95 % inbreeding.
Here are her 2 foals-

She is a big, baroque mare.
She stands at 16.1 hands (1.64 meters).
Tetje is confirmed in foal to Jasper
366! He doesn't ship semen so the only way to get a Jasper baby
is to buy an imported mare like Tetje that is already in foal!
