Ton has years of experience riding and training Friesians and Dutch Warmbloods in the Netherlands.  He also came to the USA in 2008 to help us with our sale horses, and also went to Minnesota to work with Majoor, and LA to work with Gijs.  I have found that Ton can quickly analyze problem horses, and figure out how to fix the issues in a very short amount of time.

Here are some videos from Ton's last visit, at the open house we had:

Zanneke, 3 year old mare, owned by Legacy Friesians:  video
Spirit, 5 year old mare, owned by Sheila Trapold:  video
Tessa Welmoed, 4 year old mare owned by Legacy Friesians:  video
Hindrik Lauwers, 8 year old gelding, owned by Legacy Friesians:  video
Oene, 6 year old Stallion, owned by Wendy Feller:  video, slow mo video

Testimonials:
As a warmblood breeder and somewhat aged/goal oriented dressage rider I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Ton.  As an ex-eventer still with a penchant for off the track Tb’s I’m even more relieved to have him around! My goal is to better my riding and create a happy all round athlete with my babies just starting under saddle as well as my going  horses.  I’ve seen or experienced Ton’s skills with stallions, youngsters and problem horses. He is a phenomenal rider, the horses love him, and the response they have to his training methods is nothing short of dramatic.

He has a special talent for diagnosing issues with horse and rider but equally  important has an ability to provide effective solutions based on a hierarchical skill set that makes dressage simple and achievable.  The end result is a happy horse reaching its athletic potential and riders meeting their goals. If you feel stuck in a rut with your riding or have a particular problem with your horse, Ton will help you break through to the other side.  Dressage becomes... dare I say it, enjoyable.

Ton has come over to the USA a few times to help me with my Friesians.  So far there has not been a problem he has not been able to solve.  He is so amazing, he gets so much done while he is here!!!!  I put my mare 3 and a half year old Tessa Welmoed in training with him for a week and he got her cantering in both directions for me and solved her straightness problems.  I was  so impressed with what he did with her in such a short time.  He also gives amazing riding lessons!
