Tristan is a lovely 12 year old 16.2-hand Friesian gelding that would make the perfect family horse. He is a joy to drive and cheerful in his work. While he hasn't had a lot of ‘off the farm’ exposure, he is kind and trustworthy.  He was bred by Judy Knapp of Sisters, Oregon, and professionally trained by Kathy Casey, a Grand Prix trainer, and Kanoe Durdan, a professional driving trainer.   Most of his experience has been as a driving horse.  In some of his photos, he is teamed up with Captain, who is also for sale.

Tristan works well as a single and on either side of a pair.  He is stands well for the farrier and vet work, he is up-to-date on vaccines, worming, dental work and shoeing.  In the barn, he is calm and gets along well with other horses in turnout.  Tristan stands nicely for clipping, grooming, harnessing and putting to the carriage, and is comfortable on roads and in other busy environments.

Tristan is quiet around children and dogs and loves getting sugar from little girls. He can be off work for several months and hooked with no problems whatsoever; he doesn't need consistent work to be a willing partner.
