Congratulations to Melissa Adkinson, of Augusta GA!   Melissa was actually DEPLOYED to Iraq  (she was deployed 3 times!!!) and she's home now and has finally got to meet her Ricardo.  Here is what Melissa wrote to me recently, photos and more info coming soon!:

Sorry it took so long to write, I just got the internet connected this morning. 
 
Ricky is wonderful!!  HEs so sweet.  I go out to the pasture and he trots to me, lets me put the halter right on and is a doll to lead around the property.  I could'nt be more thrilled.  Sadly my big Swiss WB is lame and will likely only be a "trail horse"  I keep trying to encourage my hubby to let me buy a friesian already under saddle... so far the answer is no... but ill keep working on him.  =)
 
Ill try to get pictures today or tomorrow and send you something for your refrence page.

Ricardo was born April 12, 2005.  His foal keuring was June 1.  He got a 3rd premie, and the judge was very impressed by his cadence and rhythmic trot!

The approved stud Tsjipke 399 was born in 1998, bred from the STAR mare Johanna B. (v. Tamme) and the stud Remmelt 323 (v. Oege pref.). Tsjipke 399 is now competing in level M2 dressage.  He has a very long mane and forelock, since he is a descendant of Oege pref.!  His grand-dam, Olga B, had 18 offspring and 7 of them turned out to be STAR mares, quite an impressive ratio!
