Congratulations to Alise and her son Dylan, of Crossville, Tenessee!!!
Sept 2, 2008:
She is doing great, very loving especially with Dylan.  Here is a photo of them together!  The farrier saw her today and she has front shoes and did very well.
I will keep you posted.

Update January 20, 2009:
... Winanda is doing great by the way, and my son has really been riding her and doing well.  He takes her out on the trails a couple of times a week when the weather is good, but not recently.  Plus he is taking lessons on her indoors now twice a week to stay agile in the saddle.  They both are enjoying it. She is such a lovely mare, we just love her.

Sept 1, 2008:
Sue,

Winanda is doing well.  Our dressage trainer Lisa will ride her on Thursday with my farm trainer Jenny and Dylan on hand to get her on a program for Jenny and Dylan to work together.  If need be Lisa will work with her as much as necessary to get them started off right.
I have her insurance in effect so you can cancel you policy.
More later, I but wanted you to know she is doing well.  I am putting her out with Whitney, the other new Friesian we got from FL tonight.

August 31, 2008:
Winanda just arrived safe, more later!  She and Dylan are a love fest!

Winanda is a 9 year old full papered star mare!   This is the gold standard for breeding! She is trained under saddle and LOVES to work!  She also had been driven in Holland.
Her colt from 2008, Argent LF,  is spectacular, what a great broodmare!

If there ever was a Friesian who could do eventing or endurance, it is Winanda!

Winanda is pregnant.  She took on the FIRST time we bred her to Sibald 380.  She is due for her foal next year in early June 2009!!!! We have an ultrasound image on request or you could talk to the vet.
Sibald 380 is not advertised very well and people don't really know much about him, but we at Legacy Friesians have been VERY impressed with geldings by Sibald 380 that we have imported & are now with their loving new owners.  We think Sibald 380 is the best kept secret in America.  Top Friesian trainer Sylvia Lindstrom of Sweden also loves Sibald 380 offspring for dressage!:

Winanda recently went on a trail ride (on August 16th) and she was really good- not tense at all and was happy to follow the other horses.  We think she's going to make a terrific trail horse:
