Wybrand
Lammert 260
      Oege 267 Pref

UPDATE - JUNE 2008
“Wybrand is doing so well and he and I are riding and partnering in such great harmony.  It is hard to believe that it’s been nearly a year since I first came out to meet him at Legacy Friesians.  No doubt in my mind that he’s making and leaving a legacy here in New Jersey.  He really does have many of the traits of his ancestral roots, Lammert 260 and Oege 267 Pref.  Your recommendation that Wybrand was the right Friesian for me has stood the test of time.  He is better and better each day.  Thanks.”

Wybrand is now sold!  Congratulations to Anne and David of New Jersey!!! Wybrand has now made it to his new home in NJ, and here is the report we just received from Anne and David!:
Dear Sue:
Wybrand arrived today!  He came with his head held high and he proudly stepped out of the transportation trailer as if he owned the place and was waiting for his applause.  He was more magnificent than I remembered when I saw him a couple of weeks ago.  He already has started to settle in and has quite a charming temperament, just like he showed me when I first visited Legacy Friesians to see him.  Your description of him on your web site was just as he was in real life when I visited Legacy Friesians last month.  These are some photos from his first day today in New Jersey.  Thanks for bringing this “Big Handsome Boy” into my life.

Here is a customer referral from Anne and David regarding their buying experience:
Dear Sue:

What a great experience.  I can’t recall a buying experience that was more energizing, interesting and fun.  Sue, your careful attention to detail and patience in answering questions demonstrated that you know your Friesian subject matter.  There wasn’t a question you didn’t have information about.  Additionally, your focus on addressing all our major concerns or issues really brought us to a buying decision quickly, but without pressure.  We didn’t “get sold” but we “decided to buy”.  There is a big difference and we felt good about the buying decision.  You know how to build a trusting relationship with the buyer.

From the very start of our discussions you have demonstrated integrity and candidness.  Your helpful assistance and patience provided during our buying decision process gave us confidence that we were going to find the right Friesian for us.  Good businesses are based on long-term relationships and reputation.  Reputation is established with consistent integrity, honesty and staying with commitments.  You showed us this was your style and way to do business.  Legacy Friesians is definitely building a strong reputation and we are convinced we made the right decision to buy and bring home Wybrand from your stable.  Even the transportation company you used was top notch in the elements of care, concern and compassion for him.  We are sure this also contributed to his low stress journey across the country.  All this resulted in a highly positive experience and absolutely no doubt that Wybrand is a happy horse.  Of course, we are happy too as you can see by the pictures.

Wybrand is an 8 year old gelding who has been extensively shown in dressage competitions in Holland.  He has worked up to through the levels and is now showing level M (between level 1 and 2), and has points in level M.  Click here to see our best attempt at documenting how the levels compare!
He knows his lateral work, walk to canter transitions, shoulder in.  His damsire, Oege, passed on his long flowing mane!  His sire, Lammert gave him his beautiful baroque conformation and laid back attitude.  He is truly a schoolmaster that you can learn to ride on.
